Neil Young wins first Grammy Award
Neil Young has had nearly a 50-year career, so it was fitting that he won his first ever Grammy Award for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package. The winning album, “Neil Young Archives Vol. I (1963-1972)” contains about 120 tracks from Young’s earlier days.
Young’s song “Fork in the Road” from the album of the same name received a nomination for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance; however, that honor went to Bruce Springsteen for his song “Working on a Dream.”
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards were held on Jan. 31 at 8 pm. ET in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. To see the complete list of winners, click here.
